Our metrics for this rating will be based on public opinions as well as IMDb ratings of all the episodes so far.

This isn’t to say that other episodes of this reality TV show not on this list are bad or below par, it’s just that, these chosen are the best of the best and will leave you almost in stitches when you watch them.

Let’s Get to the Best Impractical Jokers Episode Ever Released

1.      Cyber Buddies (Season 2, Episode 27)

This episode begins with the jokers acting as clerks at a grocery store while taking instructions on what to say via headphones. We all know how crazy this can get.

From there, they headed out to the mall and split into pairs gunning to get as many shoppers as possible to settle the debate for the day. The shoppers would decide the winner of the debate, which meant that the jokers needed to make great arguments.

At the end of this activity, Murr emerged as the loser after which he had to give a lesson on Optimizing Computers while the other guys handled his laptop and controlled things, out of sight. That was punishment.

This episode puts the ‘crazy’ in impractical jokes as there were a lot of insane things these guys did. For one, Q made a complete mess in a store after he added Mentos to a bottle of Coke. Then Murr went as far as complimenting a man’s chest hair (imagine how awkward and bizarre that must have sounded.

The bottom line is, that there is no length to which these guys won’t go to bring us fun and absurd entertainment.

According to IMDb ratings, this episode of the reality TV show scores 8.8/10.

2.      Enter the Dragons (Season 2, Episode 23)

Scoring another 8.8/10 is the episode titled ‘Enter the Dragon’ in the 23rd episode of the second season.

Here is an attempt at describing what the guys got up to, in this episode…

They first started off at a mall where they performed ridiculous tasks on an escalator (you have to see this for yourself). Then they headed to a grocery store where they whispered outrageous and bizarre things into the ears of shoppers and the shoppers had to whisper something back else the Joker lost.

The punishment for this episode was that the Jokers had to wear outrageous outfits and opened for Imagine Dragons, in front of over 14,000 concertgoers.

Joe and Sal were the unfortunate losers who won the pity of the concertgoers who watched them stumble on stage in their ridiculous outfits and attempt to play instruments they knew not how to play.

News has it that is episode was quite iconic and for obvious reasons.

3.      Strip High Five (Season 2, Episode 6)

Have you ever heard of the game ‘Strip High Five’ before? No? well then, let me tell you what it is but before I do, let me tell you what the guys were up to in the sixth episode of the second season of Impractical Jokers.

So, the 4 guys started in pairs and were tasked to give sensitivity training lessons prepared by opposing teams. They even got a surprise visit from Sal and Joe’s sisters.

Afterwards, the guys went on to Staten Island Ferry where they took turns to ask strangers to try and name made-up famous people. The punishment for the losers of the night’s game would have to compete in the game of ‘strip high five’.

Now, this is the explanation of what the game looks like; the players will have to make strangers high-five them and whoever doesn’t get a high-five has to remove a piece of clothing until someone is completely or almost completely stripped.

Guess who had to take this punishment? Joe and Murr! Watching them was both embarrassing and laughable so you may want to repeat the episode.

IMDb rated this episode an 8.8/10 as well.

4.      Tipping Point (Season 8, Episode 3)

One of the most interesting challenges of these Impractical Jokers episodes is their ‘Do and Say’ challenge. In this episode, the 4 Jokers take turns to work as horrible receptionists who have to do and say what the others tell them to do and say.

When they were done from there, they went on to Hill Country BBQ where they took turns trying to convince patrons not to use the bathroom. Now, the reasons they had to give the patrons were dictated by the other 3 Jokers.

Sal takes the fall in this episode and loses the challenge making him serve as a rude delivery boy who has to try to get better tips from customers despite his unruly behavior.

This episode has a solid 8.8/10 according to IMDb’s rating.

5.      The Shame of Water (Season 8, Episode 24)

This episode begins with each of the Impractical Jokers taking turns to read out embarrassing diary entries written by the other guys, in a park.

They had to read out 3 diaries full of absurdities in front of strangers and anyone who doesn’t read all 3 diaries, loses.

Next up, the guys head to the coffee shop where their task is to get strangers to agree with their ridiculous reasons for breaking up with their made-up girlfriends.

In this episode, Sal was unable to secure a win and his punishment was to serve as a clumsy waiter at Dallas BBQ in Time Square.

6.      Fraudway (Season 8, Episode 11)

Have you ever been in a ‘try not to laugh’ situation? This episode shed light on one of the hardest moments for the 4 guys who tried so hard to hold in their laughter despite the bizarre things the other guys were doing.

Up next, they played the favorite ‘Do and Say’ challenge that crowned Murr the night’s loser. His punishment was to ridiculously act as the world’s worst cameraman while on stage with his favorite musician, Yanni.

This episode scored an 8.9/10 according to IMDb.

7.      Smashing Success (Season 9, Episode 6)

Sal is faced with one of the most heart-wrenching punishments after he suffered yet another loss in this episode. In Smashing Success, the Jokers started off acting as office managers who were looking to hire security guards for a company.

Their applicants were clueless individuals who had to pass through rooms of absurd experiences while the Jokers still tried to convince them to take the job.

The first task ended without a loser but that wasn’t for long.

The Jokers took to their next task which was the iconic ‘Say and Do’ task where other Jokers would tell the chosen one(s) what to do and say to unsuspecting individuals.

Here, Sal and Joe were made to convince their assistants to do something and when Sal got a refusal, his punishment was to smash the artwork of 2 of his helpers, in their presence.

This episode was rated 8.9/10 by IMDb.

8.      Rubbed The Wrong Way (Season 6, Episode 18)

Yet another 8.9/10 IMDb score rating is this crazy episode of ‘genie-playing’. I don’t think there is anything these men will do that will shock us, is there?

The games to secure the loser for this episode involved the men acting as partitioners and offering to sign people up for a $100 gift card. For as many contacts as each joker gets, he was to send ridiculous messages to them and pray to get a response from the contact.

The Joker with the least number of responses was tagged the loser.

Moving on, their second task was to play ‘toss’ with the food items of unsuspecting shoppers at a grocery store. The ‘catch’ here (see what I did there? Wink wink) was to not get caught.

Unfortunately for Joe, he lost in this episode and his punishment was to act as an unfortunate genie who was going through a lot of rough and sad mishaps.

9.      Everything’s Just Rosie (Season 2, Episode 22)

TV personality and comedian, Rosie O’Donnell made a guest appearance in this episode hence the title of this season finale’s episode.

She served as a clone to the loser for the episode, Q, who had to give a science presentation that failed terribly.

The games in this episode involved the usual ‘Say and Do’ game where each Joker takes turns to do whatever the others tell him to do. This happened at a bowling alley.

Everything’s Just Rosie scored an 8.9/10 according to IMDb’s ratings and with how Rosie played her part so well, keeping a straight face through the ridiculousness, it is a worthy score.

10.  Sweat the Small Things (Season 2, Episode 18)

With an 8.9/10 IMDb rating, this hilarious episode will almost leave you rolling on the floor. Sal, Murr, Q, and Joe went all out on this episode, and here is how…

These Impractical Jokers took turns to play the role of art instructors while doing what the others told them to do behind the curtains.

After the ridiculous first show, they played the game of shooting darts in a bar later.

The twist to this regular bar game was that each section of the dart board contained a ridiculous task that the Joker whose dart sticks to the section must carry out.

At the end of the game, Sal was the loser and had to give a seminar about stress as his punishment for the episode.

11.  B-I-N-G-O (Season 3, Episode 30)

After these 4 Impractical Jokers finish their ‘tasks’ for the day, the time for Sal, the perpetual loser, to pay his debt came and of course, it had to be something cringe-worthy.

Sal’s punishment had something to do with annoying a group of bingo players who were very invested in their games. It took an extra grace for the young Impractical Joker to not be lynched in that room. But hey! That’s what happens when you lose in this reality TV show.

According to IMDb, this episode scored a 9.0/10. Not bad.

12.  Look Out Below (Season 3, Episode 1)

Season 3 of Impractical Jokers began on a ‘high note’, literally. In this episode, the jokers had to canvas tips from strangers by doing what the other jokers told them to do. If the Joker fails to get a tip, he loses.

After this, they also had to act out ridiculous scenes instructed by the other Jokers, while serving as hot dog vendors on the streets of New York.

Being the loser for the episode, Murr is made to face one of his greatest fears as he plunges from the sky in a parachute.

IMDb says this episode gets a 9.0/10 and I think I agree with them.

13.  Brother-In-Loss (Season 3, Episode 32)

You lose in a game and have to watch one of your best friends marry your sister as punishment. This is what happened to Sal (who is not a newbie to losing, by the way) when he lost at the games, yet again.

It is almost every overprotective brother’s nightmare to see his sister get married to a guy they know and that is why this episode which was the Season 3 finale took over 6 months of planning and hiding from Sal.

It was even worse that the marriage was actually real and legal. All because someone couldn’t do so well at the game of getting an office job and mimicking another’s facial expression while conversing with strangers.

A bit too much, right? Well, it wouldn’t be Impractical Jokers if it didn’t give absurdity.

IMDb rated this a solid 9.1/10 and with the intentionality put into the punishment, we can see why it deserves such a rating.

14.  Whose Phone is Ringing (Season 5, Episode 11)

Why is this episode considered one of the funniest? You may want to ask. Well, the games in this episode were the game of ‘Wheel of Faces’ and Joker vs. Joker. In the second game, the Jokers attempted to sell products produced by the opposing Joker who even tried to undercut them.

At the end of the games, Sal emerged as the loser and had to attend a book reading session with his phone occasionally blaring a loud and contagious ringtone. Through the distraction and stink eyes at the book reading session, Sal had to try to keep a straight face which made the episode very hilarious.

That isn’t the end of the ridiculousness in this episode, though. At some point, Murr tried to sell a tire with a USB port and Q desperately tried to get spanked.

This episode is the eleventh one of the fifth season of the show and IMDb rated it a 9.3/10.

15.  The Permanent Punishment (Season 3, Episode 27)

This episode 27 from the reality TV show’s third season comes in as an all-time favorite by fans and critics alike. Sitting pretty with an IMDb rating of 9.4/10 is the episode, ‘Permanent Punishment.’

From the title, you already know you’re in for an iconic journey with the content the 4 Jokers have in stock.

In this episode, the Jokers start by acting as terrible security guards at a grocery store. After that, they competed in a tight competition to ascertain who could clip the most balloons to unsuspecting shoppers.

At the end of this particular game, only Joe came up top and the other 3 guys were made to carry out the ‘permanent punishment’.

This ultimate punishment chosen by Joe was for the other guys to get inked – a punishment that will stick with them forever. There is a catch, though. This tattoo isn’t just the regular ‘love it’ tat. Mur, Q, and Sal had to get embarrassing tattoos as chosen by Joe.

Sal’s thigh was made to house a realistic tattoo of Jaden Smith (the actor). You want to watch and know what the other 2 Jokers got so go and watch this episode.
