He has a brother, Chris Masterson who is also an actor as well as half-siblings, Jordan Masterson and Alanna Masterson.

Fianna’s dad Masterson is popular for the movie That 70’s show; however, he started out as a child model from the age of four. He then moved on to TV commercials and Musicals in his childhood. In the 1990s, he kicked off his acting career with a role in Beethoven’s 2nd. However, his rise to fame was due to a role in That 70’s show where he has starred in all eight episodes of the show beginning from 1998- 2006.

Subsequently, he starred in the comedy film, Yes Man (2008) as well as The Bridge to Nowhere (2009) alongside his real-life wife, Bijou Philips.

More so, Danny Masterson took up DJ work as a hobby alongside acting and was a regular sight at Los Angeles Night Clubs in 1997. Soon, however, he turned it into a side business and adopted the name DJ Mom Jeans. He also identifies as a Scientologist together with his wife, Bijou Philips.

Fianna Francis Masterson’s parents share a lot of characteristics in common. Besides the fact that they are both actors, they also attained fame as children. Bijou Philips was however more radical as a teenager.

Bijou Philips was born on April 1, 1980, in Greenwich Connecticut to musician John Philips and his ex-wife Genevieve Waite, a South African model, and actress. After her parents got divorced, Bijou was placed in foster care because both parents were found unfit to raise her.

Later on, when she was in third grade, her father won custody and she moved with him to Lloyd Harbor, a village in Long Island. She went into modeling and was on the cover of Interview Magazine when she was 13 years old, and subsequently on the cover of Vogue Italia. She modeled for big brands such as Calvin Klein in several advertisements.

Soon, Bijou Philips quit school and got an apartment of her own in New York. She partied, drank, and experimented with drugs, with the Observer describing her as a “Wild child”.

However, at 17, her father sent her to Rehab after the loss of her close friend to heroin overdose.

Meanwhile, Philips signed a record deal and dropped her debut album, “I’d rather eat glass” in 1999, which was in reference to her former days as a model. She later moved on to acting which proved to be more rewarding for her. She made her debut movie, Sugar Town (1999), and also featured in Black and White (1999) but her breakthrough finally came with the drama, Almost Famous (2000) which got four Academy nominations.

Philips has starred in over 30 films, Documentary and TV series to date, such as Havoc (2005), Venom (2005), Friendly Fire (2006), and Choke (2008).

Her health condition was first made known by her husband Danny Masterson in 2017 when he revealed that Philips was born with small kidneys and was on the transplant list for years. She has been taking care of herself by eating a vegan diet, having dialysis, and living stress-free.
