What Are The Allegations Against P. Diddy

There have been several accusations against Sean Combs better known as P. Diddy. At least 11 lawsuits have been filed against the iconic rapper since the beginning of November 2023. The rapper has been accused of sexual assault, sex trafficking forced labor, and kidnapping among other crimes.

His troubles began when his ex-girlfriend, Casandra "Cassie" Ventura, accused him of raping and assaulting her during their relationship.


The timeline of the allegations against P. Diddy

1. Cassie Ventura: complaint filed on Nov. 16, 2023

Cassie Ventura, a former longtime girlfriend of the rapper filed a civil suit against him, claiming he abused her physically, sexually, and emotionally. She also claimed P. Diddy raped her, beat, kicked and stomped on her.

She also added in her suit that she was forced to engage in sex acts with male sex workers and was introduced to a lifestyle of excessive alcohol and substance abuse. However, a day after she filed the case in line with the New York Adult Survivors Act (ASA), the case was settled for an undisclosed amount. The R&B singer claimed she decided to settle it behind closed doors amicably.

Following the settlement, Combs’ attorney, Ben Brafman, revealed that it did not imply that the rapper was guilty of the charges.

 Despite vehemently denying all the allegations against him, Diddy issued a video apology to his ex-girlfriend, Cassie after graphic footage showing him assaulting her surfaced the media. He claimed he sought professional help, had gone for therapy, and was committed to being a better man.

Sadly, it did not end there…

2. Joi Dickerson-Neal Complaint filed on Nov 23, 2023

Joi Dickerson-Neal filed suit against P. Diddy accusing him of drugging and raping her in January 1991 while she was a college student at Syracuse University. She also claimed that the music icon recorded the assault and shared it with others in the music industry.

Just as in Cassie’s case, Sean Combs again denied the allegations through his spokesperson.

3. Liza Gardner: complaint filed on Nov 23, 2023

Another lady named Liza Gardner filed a lawsuit against the Coming Home rapper claiming that he and another artist took turns raping her and a friend in the early 1990s. She also added that she and her friend met P. Diddy and the other artist at an MCA Records event after which they were invited for an after-party at the apartment of Diddy’s alleged accomplice. During the party, Gardner alleged she and her friend were offered more drinks and later forced to sleep with Diddy.

According to the suit filed by Gardner, she claimed she and her friend were tracked down where they were staying because he was worried that his actions would be exposed to his then-girlfriend so he assaulted her to the point where she passed out.

As regards the allegations, Combs’ spokesperson stated that Gardner fabricated alleged misconduct from over 30 years ago and the case was filed at the last minute. The spokesperson also mentioned that his client is an easy target for anonymous accusers.

4. Jane Doe: complaint filed on Dec. 6, 2023

Sean Combs, his business associate, and a third person were all named in a complaint by a woman who claimed in 2003 when she was 17, she was sex-trafficked and gang-raped by the rapper, his associate, and a third assailant.

From what was gathered, Combs’ business associate and the lady met at a Michigan lounge. She was convinced by Combs’ who was on the phone to take a private jet to New York. The suit alleges that the business associate smoked cocaine in the lounge bathroom and then forced her to give him oral sex before he forced her to follow him in the jet. The complainant further alleged that Combs and his two friends gang-raped her.

5. Rodney 'Lil Rod’ Jones: complaint filed on Feb 26, 2024

On February 26, 2024 Music producer, Rodney Lil Rod’ Jones sued the music and business mogul, accusing him of unwanted sexual contact and forcing him to hire prostitutes and participate in sexual acts with them.

Jones also added that while he was working on Combs’ Love album in 2022 and 2023, the music icon grabbed his genitals without his consent and also tried to groom him into having sex with another man claiming it was a normal act in the music industry.

Besides that, Jones, who worked for Diddy from September 2022 to November 2023, claimed that he had incriminating videos showing his former boss, P. Diddy, his staff, and other people engaging in illegal activities.

Jones also stated that  Diddy used to host sex trafficking parties which usually had underage girls.

6. Grace O'Marcaigh: Complaint filed on April 4, 2024

Grace O’Marcaigh accused P.Diddy’s son, Christian of sexually assaulting her while she was attending to their family on a yacht during a holiday outing in December 2022. In the lawsuit, she accused Sean Combs of aiding and abetting and premised liability since he was the one who rented the yacht.

The suit also claimed that Christian Combs allegedly forced O’Marcaigh to take a tequila shot which she claimed was spiked with drugs. The suit also mentioned that Rodney Jones was there on the yacht. The recorded images include bruises that Grace allegedly suffered when Christian Combs was "violently grabbing her and attempting to force her to perform" oral sex.

Christian and Sean Combs’s attorney, Aaron Dyer said the allegations by Grace O’Marcaigh are manufactured lies and baseless facts.

7. Crystal McKinney: Complaint filed: May 21, 2024

Former model Crystal Mckinney also accused P. Diddy of sexually assaulting her in 2003 at his studio in New York City when she was 22. She also claimed that she and Diddy met at a Fashion Week event at Cipriani Downtown before he requested her presence in his studio.

McKinney also alleged that Diddy laced her drinks with intoxicating substances before he demanded that she follow him to the bathroom where he forced her to perform oral sex. She alleged that the incident has caused her severe depression and lifelong harm.

8. April Lampros: Complaint filed: May 23, 2024

April Lampros accused Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting her when she met him 20 years ago while she was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She said that when she first met the rapper, he promised her career sadly, he soon became aggressive, coercive, and abusive towards her.

Pampros further claimed in the suit that the hip-hop mogul was forced to sleep with his then-girlfriend, Kim Porter.

9. Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith: Complaint filed: June 10, 2024

 A Michigan inmate with the name Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith claims P. Diddy drugged and sexually assaulted him at a party in Detroit in 1997. He also added that the incident occurred while he was working as a bartender. He said he partied with the hip-hop star and some women and after that, they all engaged in group sex.

According to the suit, Cardello claims Combs spiked his drink at the party and he passed out. By the time he woke up, the rapper was intimate with a woman and he told him he did it to him too. Upon hearing that, he claims he checked himself in the bathroom and saw that he was bleeding.

In September 2024, Cardello-Smith was awarded a $100 million default judgment after the court did not hear anything from Combs’ attorney. However, the rappers later fought back claiming the rapper was never informed of the suit but he only saw it on social media.

10. Adria English: Complaint filed on July 3, 2024

Former adult movie star Adria English filed a suit against P. Diddy for sex trafficking. She claimed that she and the rapper met while she was working as a dancer at the Hustler Club in New York in the early 2000s. At that time, her then-boyfriend, an aspiring model, auditioned for Sean John but was told that if English agreed to dance at parties hosted by Diddy in the Hamptons and Miami, he would get the job.

English further claimed from 2004 to 2009, she was sexually assaulted and sex trafficked by Combs.

11. Dawn Richard: Complaint filed on Sept. 10, 2024

Dawn Richard, a former bandmate of P. Diddy filed a suit and accused him of terrorizing and sexually abusing her. She also claimed she witnessed him beating his ex-girlfriend, Cassie on several occasions.

In total, at least 11 lawsuits have been filed against Sean Combs better known as P. Diddy. In a statement to ABC News, the rapper’s attorney, Jonathan Davis, stated that the rapper never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone.
