Aside from being born a celebrity child, Phoenix was born via surrogacy. Paris expressed that becoming a mother has always been her dream despite her fears of childbirth. As such, Phoenix's birth was kept a secret for over a week before making the news. His mother hinted that everything about her life has always been in the public’s eyes and for the first time she wanted to keep something for herself.

Since the mother of two shared a photo of her son Phoenix on Instagram in 2023, it has been accompanied by several negative comments linked to the size of his head. While many suspect that he has macrocephaly others really think he needs to see a doctor.

Paris expressed her displeasure on the comments and explained that "Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else's for that matter, is unacceptable,". She also added, "This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe. I've worked hard to cultivate an environment that is all about love, respect, and acceptance, and I expect the same in return."

To further debunk these negative views, the mother of two hinted that her son is perfectly healthy and just has a large brain. In another comment, she wrote "If I don't post my baby, people assume I'm not a great mother and if I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful. I'm a proud working mom and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable, and angelic. "
